Steel shot for polishing serves the same purpose as stainless-steel shot but is more cost-effective. With a higher specific gravity, steel shot delivers a stronger impact on the product surface during operation. However, it is more difficult to store and must be soaked in an anti-rust solution to ensure long-term usability.

Usage and Storage Instructions
How to Use
Steel shot is used together with vibratory or barrel polishing machines and polishing compounds to enhance the brightness of metal parts.
Instructions for using steel shot with a 3D vibratory polishing machine:
Step 1: Prepare the appropriate steel shot based on the product to be polished.
Step 2: Prepare the polishing compound and dilute it with clean water at the proper ratio.
Step 3: Load the steel shot and the workpieces into the vibratory bowl, then turn on the machine. Flush with water to wet both the steel shot and the workpieces.
Step 4: Add the polishing compound onto the mixture of workpieces and steel shot.
Step 5: Monitor the surface quality. Once the desired finish is achieved, drain the water, clean the parts, and remove them from the machine.
Step 6: Turn off the machine. Dry the polished parts immediately to avoid water stains.
Storage: After use, the steel shot must be soaked immediately in an anti-rust solution/chemical. Avoid exposure to air, as it will oxidize very quickly
