Steel polishing balls are specialized materials widely used in vibratory finishing machines or shot blasting systems to clean, smooth, and brighten metal surfaces. With their durability, rust resistance, high reusability, and excellent polishing performance, steel balls are the optimal choice for industries such as mechanical processing, mold manufacturing, and the surface treatment of stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. This article will help you better understand their applications, advantages, and how to select the right steel balls for each specific use.
1. Introduction
Steel balls for metal polishing operate based on the principle of vibration and impact on the surface, removing the dull layer from the product’s surface. Steel balls are often used together with polishing chemicals, known as polishing solutions, to enhance effectiveness and achieve the desired surface shine as requested by customers.
2. Product Information
- Name: Steel balls, polishing balls
- Origin: China
- Packaging: 25kg/bag
- Diameter: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 (mm)
3. Usage & Storage Instructions
Usage:
Use steel balls for polishing with a 3D vibration machine.
Step 1: Prepare steel balls suitable for the products to be polished.
Step 2: Prepare the polishing solution by diluting it with clean water in the appropriate ratio.
Step 3: Pour the steel balls and the products to be polished into the vibrating machine barrel, then turn on the machine. Rinse with water to wet the surfaces of both the products and steel balls.
Step 4: Pour the polishing solution onto the mixture of products and steel balls.
Step 5: Monitor the surface quality of the products. Once the desired polishing finish is achieved, rinse with water to clean and remove the products from the machine.
Step 6: Turn off the machine. Dry the products to prevent surface staining.
Storage:
Stainless steel materials do not rust, but if stored in damp conditions, they can easily develop stains or discoloration. Therefore, they should be kept in a dry environment. After use, clean thoroughly and dry completely.
